1. Introduction

What The Shops (the "Game") is an online business-simulation game operated by The What The Shops team ("we", "us"), playable in web browsers and mobile apps.

By creating an account or using the Game, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Rules. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

2. Age

The Game is recommended for players aged 12+ and above.

Players under 18 must have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Players under 18 should not play more than 60 minutes per session and 180 minutes per day.

Playing more than 180 minutes a day is bad for your health.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your username, password and secondary password secret. All activity from your account is treated as yours.

Each server (VN-01, VN-02 …) is a separate world: accounts, Xu and items are not shared between servers.

• Do not sell, rent or transfer accounts.
• Do not create multiple accounts to gain an advantage, and do not use bots, cheating tools or exploits.

4. Xu and virtual items

Xu, items, assets and titles in the Game are virtual data for entertainment only. They have NO monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money and cannot be withdrawn.

The Game does not currently sell Xu or items for real money. Any offer to buy or sell Xu, accounts or "top-ups" for real money is a scam and is not recognised by us, even if the person claims to be an administrator.

The Game contains no real-money betting or gambling.

5. Player content

You are responsible for the display names, shop names, messages, images, Stories and voice messages you post. You allow us to store and display this content in the Game in order to run the service.

We may hide or remove content that breaks the Community Rules or the law without prior notice.

6. Violations

Depending on severity, an account may be warned, chat-muted, have Xu and items gained by cheating removed, or be suspended temporarily or permanently. You can appeal via the Contact page.

7. Changes and interruptions

The Game is under active development. We may change rules, economy balance or features, or pause the service for maintenance. We will announce major changes in the Game or on the News page.

The Game is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from the loss of virtual data, connection problems or the actions of other players.

8. Termination

You may stop playing and delete your account at any time (see Delete Your Account). We may stop providing the service to accounts that seriously break these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Disputes will first be resolved by negotiation; failing that, they will be brought before the competent authority in Vietnam.

10. Updates

We may update these Terms. The effective date is shown at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Game after an update means you accept the new version.
